We are coming back to "Core" sets... kind of. The upcoming Magic set is called Foundations, and it seems to be about half new cards and half reprints. The new cards seem quite cool and unique, while the old cards are powerful and potentially format defining. Unlike the last several sets, which are defined by their cool themes and unique mechanics, this one is designed with new players and the Standard format in mind. Instead of stuff like complex tribal synergies and room enchantments we are getting stuff like cats and elves, which is kind of refreshing! This set will also be legal in standard for 5 years instead of the typical 3, so you need to worry less about rotation! As with any set, there are pre-release events, which are listed below!

This will be like any other Magic pre-release; the price for the event is $40, comes with 6 play boosters from the set, 1 foil rare or mythic and a roll down d20. You will build a deck out of the cards you open and battle the other players over the course of 3 rounds for glory.... and prize packs of course. We are very excited to see this set in action!
